About the Books
Growing Pains Growth begins with birth and often involves the death of parts that are ready to move on, making room for new life. It is a painful process that bears beautiful fruit. These poems from 2021-2023 reflect some of my own growing pains as I learn to become the most me. ~Kelvyn Koning, 2023 Teaching Snakes to Sing
Humors. Heartbreak. Identity. Teaching Snakes to Sing covers it all! In this compelling book of poetry, musician Kelvyn Koning takes you on an artist’s journey of growth in achieving their greatest potential. ~Kelvyn Koning, 2020 |
Spilling the T
Boston residents know that taking the T (public transit) can be quite the adventure. Here are some of my journal entries from the four years I was riding the buses and trains almost every day (exempting the lockdown period). Some of the stories are touching, some odd, some sweet, some troublesome, and all little glimpses of humanity and my early experiences in Boston. ~Kelvyn Koning, 2026 2020 Vision: A Haiku A Day
"A haiku a day In the year 2020 Became my mission.” Sassy, sweet, naughty, and nostalgic. Kelvyn Koning captures moods that, for many, defined the year 2020 in his unfiltered book 2020 Vision: A Haiku A Day. ~Kelvyn Koning, 2021 |
