Poem of the Month
Not every poem made it into one of the books, but that doesn't mean they aren't worth sharing - so please enjoy this bonus poem! Seasons First snow dances atop autumn leaves, Still fiery with life, Each shining distinct light, Their contrasting palettes somehow complementary though They were taught to be foes, One stripping the other, One needing to fall to make the other the winner. Yet they reside harmoniously, Holding hands despite the cold air, Radiating love and joy, Both of them my light and my home, Each a different season of my life, Yet somehow blended into a sparkling, dripping painting. I love Autumn and I love Winter, And though it’s hard for them to exist concurrently - For change is inevitable - I have needed them both To be who I am. |
